Capstone is proud to announce, Nebula Garden, a unique thought provoking art installation to complement the upcoming Lower Lonsdale residences. The permanent public art piece will run along a 60 foot wall, offering pedestrians an intimate experience and drawing them down the pathway to explore its beauty up close.
Nebula Garden is a series of 20 panels constructed of fused glass laminated to 10ml tempered glass. The panels are inserted into a stainless steel frame, which is attached to the concrete footing. The striking glass painting is eight and a half feet high by sixty feet long.
The overall concept of the piece reflects the sense of motion that is created by the combination of layers of glass and the angle of refractions and luminous translucency absorbed by each colour mass. The piece will curve adjacent to the Capstone property directly in front of the amenity room. The combination of natural and artificial light will create and recreate the artwork as pedestrians pass each panel. At night, illuminated from below, Nebula Gardens will be a dazzling display of flowering stars for both residents and those passersby.
Nebula Garden will start at the edge of the sidewalk on 2nd St., leading into the pathway connector to the plaza. The artwork in its entirety can easily be seen from both the amenity room and patio.
